Author of this book is Jenny Colgan, who is the author of numerous bestselling novels, including “The Little Shop of Happy Ever After”, “Summer at the Little Beach Street Bakery”, Meet Me at the Cupcake Café', “The Christmas surprise”, “Amanda’s wedding” and whose books won numerous awards and recognitions. “The Little Shop of Happy Ever After” follows young girl Nina, who loves books and has a dream to have her own bookstore. But that’s not so easy as it sounds. 

            When Birmingham library where Nina works is turned into a retail complex, Nina sees that event as opportunity to work on her dream and to open the bookstore. She already has a lot of books but in city where she lives there are already a lot of bookstores, so she decides to open the mobile bookstore. Her dream will lead her to the beautiful hills of Scotland and one small village. On the way to her dreams Nina will experience first crush, heartbreak, sincere friendship and true love. 

            It was such a great pleasure to read this book, and I think every reader will feel and understand Nina’s love for books and will recognise part of his/her dreams in Nina’s dreams. Also, it is very inspiring book since it shows how if we believe in ourselves and work on our dreams they will come true. It also shows that every problem has solution and that one closed door just means that exciting opportunity is knocking on another door. I enjoyed amazing description of the Scotland, Midsummer Festival and during reading I could imagine villages and people there, and it made me wish to visit it one day. 

            I recommend this book to all book lovers, it will inspire you and show you magic power that books have. Also, Nina is the great role model not only for young girls but to other people as well, her courage, passion and determination will encourage you to never stop dreaming. Or you can read this book just for fun, it will make your life sweeter.
